Winner of Backstage’s 2015 Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country, and has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Erik is also the owner of The Acting Camp in California and creator of IndustryBible.com.
Erik’s growing list of working actor clients can be seen on Networks like NBC, Disney, FOX and CW, on shows such as Dog with a Blog, Kickin’ It, Sleepy Hollow, The Walking Dead and Hart of Dixie. His clients can also be seen in some of biggest and highly anticipated films of 2014-15, including The Maze Runner, Noah, Jersey Boys, Short Term 12, Terminator Genisys, Marvel’s Ant Man, and many more.
Currently residing in Atlanta with his wife Jennifer, Erik is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients with the right people & right path… always reminding his clients to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end.
A native of Duluth, Georgia, April has several guest starring and recuring roles under her belt including appearances on such hit shows as “The Walking Dead”, “The Mentalist”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “Constantine”, “Satisfaction” and “Drop Dead Diva.” You might recognize her from her recurring role as Barbara Langston in the ABC show, “Resurrection”, or from the star studded cast of “Last Vegas” where she plays a supporting role opposite Kevin Kline, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, Robert DeNiro and others. She is currently starring in independent film, “The Dark Red” directed by Dan Bush (The Signal).
Julia Jones is an Atlanta based actress – her degrees are in History and Theatre Arts from LaGrange College. After graduation, Julia moved to Atlanta and interned at Horizon Theatre – performing for a year under an acting apprenticeship. She performed with several theatre companies in the Atlanta metro area and then discovered the Village Theatre. Julia has been with the Village Theatre since January 2013. She performs in Danger the Show, Table Sauce, The Soundtrack Show, Her & Him, The Bilgrones Effect, and guest performs in several other casts. She is completely in love with the art form of improv and cannot wait to share her knowledge with young, future improvisors!
Jessica began acting at the ripe age of fifteen. Immediately after college, Jessica fled to the Big Apple where she pounded the pavement for 4 years while working with some of the best acting & music coaches in the city. She gained a certificate in Life Coaching and this is where she had a breakthrough in her acting and learned how to approach the business in a unique way. She returned to Atlanta in 2010 and started working with various theaters like Actor’s Express, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Serenbe Playhouse, Theatrical Outfit, & Theatre in the Square. Jessica then began a career in film and television, and can be seen in Office Christmas Party starring Jennifer Aniston and Kate McKinnon, on AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire”, recurring role on OWN’s “Greenleaf”, or BET’s “Zoe Ever After”. She recently wrapped on indie films Virginia Minnesota and Blind Trust. When Jessica isn’t acting, you can find her googling cat videos, making others laugh, and fighting for world peace.
Jessica Young is an LA actress still fresh on the Atlanta scene. Her professional training includes a degree in Theatrical Performance from Western Washington University, work with Broadways own Bill Bowers, stage combat with films David Boushey, and audition prep with the late Jerry Manning. Beginning with the nationally acclaimed improv troupe The Dead Parrots Society, she trained in, traveled, and taught improv for over a decade, eventually landing at Ryan Stiles: The Upfront Theatre as a Mainstage Player. You can catch her at her new Atlanta improv home, Village Theater! She can be seen in the upcoming feature film Felt (dir Peter Landesman) opposite Maika Monroe and Your Worst Nightmare on Discovery ID.
