Erik Lingvall – Founder, Chief Creative Officer & Chief Talent Thrower
Winner of Backstage’s Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country. As the founder of Catapult, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. He also started The Acting Camp in California and is the creator of IndustryBible.com.
Erik’s growing list of working actor clients can be seen in projects like: The Walking Dead, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Terminator Genisys, Short Term 12, Disney’s Dog with a Blog, Raven’s Home (That’s So Raven spinoff), Daddy’s Home, Pretty Little Liars, Jersey Boys, House of Cards, Nashville, Parks and Recreation, NOAH, The Maze Runner, and many more.
Currently residing in Atlanta with his wife Jennifer & baby Venice, Erik is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding them to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end.
Matthew Barnes – Director of Production & Maker Of All Things Happening
Born & raised in Johnston, Rhode Island, Matt moved to the Southeast in 2010 to attend Auburn University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, & Film. After four years, he decided to pursue acting professionally and moved to Atlanta in August of 2014. He initially joined Catapult Acting as an intern, but ultimately became a full-time employee who serves as a graphic designer, marketer, scheduler, office assistant & handyman; hence the name “maker of all things happening.”
Matt also has achieved much success as an actor in his brief time in the industry thus far. He can be seen on various television shows such as The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries”, BET’s “The Game”, Discovery ID’s “Swamp Murders”, Lee Daniels’ new FOX pilot, “Star” and Tyler Perry’s “The Haves & The Have Nots.” In 2016, he will appear in a supporting role in Ang Lee’s film, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.”
Julia Jones – Director of Instruction & Queen
Attempting to live the life of a True Renaissance Woman, Julia has dedicated herself to living a life of many passions. After graduating top 5% in her class with degrees in Theatre Arts & History from LaGrange College, Julia decided to move to Atlanta to pursue acting. She completed a year long acting apprenticeship at the Horizon Theatre in 2011 – and has been acting ever since. It wasn’t until she discovered The Village Theatre, however, that she found her true calling as an Improv Artist. She has performed at The Village Theatre (named “Best Comedy Club 2015” Atlanta Magazine) since 2013 – and currently performs in Danger The Show!, Soundtrack, The Bligrones Effect, Her & His, Old Lady Times, as well as making guest appearances with the Improvised Mockumentary, Improv A-Hole, and Lady Like: A Variety Show. She is completely in love with the art form of Improv Comedy and hopes to turn this into a lifelong career.
When not improvising, Julia manages small to large scale events all across the country. She is super excited to be the Studio Manager at Catapult Acting – as well as the in house Improv Coach – and cannot wait to see the growth and expansion of Catapult Acting Studios!
Becca Tanner – Communications Manager, Executive Assistant & Physical Embodiment of “Work Hard, Play Hard”
Becca is a Georgia native who graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2016 where she majored in Communication. During her college career she interned at Catapult, where she became infatuated with the entertainment industry and the acting training world, soaking in every bit of information she could about how an acting studio is run. Naturally, she officially joined the Catapult team full time at the beginning of 2017 as Erik’s assistant and has fit in seamlessly, streamlining the company’s organizational system and structure. When she’s not working, Becca enjoys hiking Kennesaw Mountain with her dog Kai, spending time at the lake and exploring downtown Atlanta.
Scott Calloway – Chief Operations Officer & Coffee Addict
After 25+ years in the cable television and Internet service provider industry, Scott joined the team in 2016 to assist in growing Catapult to be the preeminent acting studio in the Southeast and beyond. Scott was introduced to Catapult through his son, Alex Calloway, whose professional acting career was launched largely because he was a client of Erik Lingvall’s.
As a former Senior Vice President for Comcast / NBC Universal, then subsequently supporting his son’s acting career, Scott brings to Catapult a rare combination of business acumen combined with direct knowledge of the acting industry. His goal is to provide the financial and operating strength that will allow the creative expertise of the team to positively affect the lives of our clients.
Paige Hullett – Taping Associate & Triplet
Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN alongside her triplet sisters, Paige moved to Atlanta in June of 2016 to pursue her acting career. Paige attended Elon University, and studied Meisner for 2 years under Burgess Jenkins. Initially a client of Erik’s, Paige fell in love with the studio’s mission and is now an associate at Catapult where she helps with audition tapings and workshops.
Paige is represented by Privilege Talent, and can be seen on NBC’s “Good Girls”, the Season 6 finale of “Homicide Hunter”, and national commercial for Lifetime Movie Club. She is excited about the rapid growth of the studio and contributing to the supportive community Catapult is harvesting in Atlanta.
