What is Camp Catapult? Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines rigorous intensive scene study instructed by award-winning coaches with first-person industry perspective. This 5-day intensive covers every single aspect of the audition process. In addition to being instructed by our wonderful, challenging coaches, actors will receive instruction from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Casting Directors to Directors and More. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Cuyle has amassed a resume that makes the cows come home. He’s appeared  and recurred on Emmy-winning and nominated shows, and a plethora of #1 rated shows that include The Walking Dead, Modern Family, Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, Code Black, Tyler Perry’s The Have and the Have Nots, and many more. He’s worked alongside stars such as Tom Cruise and also starred in multiple award winning films including nominated films at Sundance FF. As a huge fan of horror and epic fantasy, Cuyle fancies creating films through his production company, By the C productions. Born out of his love of the macabre and heavily influenced by his adoration of the town and history of Salem, MA. His films have played and won awards at festivals across the USA. INDUSTRY PRO #2: Susan G Reid – Casting Director, Fox Casting

Susan G. Reid recently completed casting Investigation Discovery’s fourth season of Your Worst Nightmare. When she is not casting or teaching, her blog provides tips for actors working in the southeast TV/Film industry.She was the former Vice President and Head of the TV/Film Division at Atlanta, Models & Talent where she booked talent on such notable shows as:The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, House of Cards, Homeland, and Ozark, as well as blockbusters Spiderman: Homecoming. Additionally, she has worked as a professional director, acting coach and professor for over fifteen years.  An active member of the Atlanta theatre community, Reid has earned awards for her excellence in directing, ranked among the top ten directors in Atlanta, having directed extensively for both professional and university theatres throughout Georgia. Teaching experience includes work for academic institutions such as: Kennesaw State University, Columbus State University, University of West Georgia and High Point University. Her other professional and community efforts include positions as the Artistic Associate and Education Director at both Aurora Theatre and Theatre in the Square. She served on the School Advisory Council in the Marietta City School System and volunteered with the YWCA using theatre skills to teach alternative coping mechanisms for victims of domestic violence. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and an undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, cum laude. She was a participant in the Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab in 2009.

INDUSTRY PRO #3: Meghan Apostoles – Casting Associate, arvold.

Meghan Apostoles is arvold.’s very own Renaissance Woman. She works as a casting associate on film and television projects, acts as production manager on arvold. productions, assists with education events and helms the arvold.atlanta office. She began as an extras casting assistant on Meg Ryan’s Ithaca and has since worked on AMC’s TURN: Washington’s Spies, Jeff Nichols’s Loving, and many other features, commercials and short form multimedia projects. She loves educating young actors and has taught at the Virgina Repertory Theatre’s TRAIN Pre-Professional Actor Training program and DMR Adventures. Most recently, Meghan relocated to Atlanta to serve as “boots on the ground” for arvold. in the Southeast.

Julia Jones – Leader of Camp Catapult

Julia Jones is an Atlanta based actress – her degrees are in History and Theatre Arts from LaGrange College. After graduation, Julia moved to Atlanta and interned at Horizon Theatre – performing for a year under an acting apprenticeship.  She performed with several theatre companies in the Atlanta metro area and then discovered the Village Theatre.  Julia has been with the Village Theatre since January 2013.  She performs in Danger the Show, Table Sauce, The Soundtrack Show, Her & Him, The Bilgrones Effect, and guest performs in several other casts. She is completely in love with the art form of improv and cannot wait to share her knowledge with young, future improvisors.


Erik Lingvall – Special Guest

Winner of Backstage’s 2015 Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country, and has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Erik is also the owner of The Acting Camp in California and creator of

Erik’s growing list of working actor clients can be seen on Networks like NBC, Disney, FOX and CW,  on shows such as Dog with a Blog, Kickin’ It, Sleepy Hollow, The Walking Dead and Hart of Dixie. His clients can also be seen in some of biggest and highly anticipated films of 2014-15, including The Maze Runner, Noah, Jersey Boys, Short Term 12, Terminator Genisys, Marvel’s Ant Man, and many more.

Currently residing in Atlanta with his wife Jennifer, Erik is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients with the right people & right path… always reminding his clients to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end.


Jennifer Riker – Camp Catapult Coach

Jennifer Riker is a working, professional actor with over 30 years in the industry. She earned her BFA from Florida State University and her MFA from the prestigious Yale School of Drama. Some of her credits include roles in House of Cards, Nashville, Mad Men, Law & Order, Castle, & Criminal Minds. She has worked in a variety of theatres including Yale Rep, Berkeley Rep, and Georgia Shakespeare Festival. She is also a voiceover actress. She uses disciplines such as Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and many more.
