There’s one heck of a party going on in our brains, hundreds of billions of neurons firing electrical impulses at every single moment. And every time you do anything…swing a golf club, sing a song, or attempt to “authentically be” in front of a camera, a highly specific circuit lights up in your mind. And it’s these circuits that dictate how well you perform a task. The more accurately these electrical impulses fire, the better you are at something.
So then the question is, how do we get these circuits to fire at their peak potential?
Our goal in Circuit Acting is to help performers reach their highest level of confidence, and in turn, their highest level of authenticity, in front of the camera AND in every other aspect of life!
In this 16-week course, students develop their circuits by:
- Getting comfortable being uncomfortable
- Taking risks
- Authentically expressing their uniqueness
- Applying the methods of “deep practice”
- Exploring their minds and their habits
- Acting unconsciously
- Clearing their minds through meditation
- Setting specific goals through visualization
- Getting in touch with their emotions
- Embracing vulnerability
- Letting go and simply being in the moment
